Ohh Asheville

Hi guys!  My boyfriend had 2 days off in a row (which BARELY happens) so we decided to spend the time breathing in the fresh mountain air of Asheville, NC.  We recently moved from there and thought it was time to visit some friends and places.   If you’ve never been, you really should go check it out its a unique little city with AMAZING food! Asheville is called Beer City, so if you’re into craft beer, this is the place to go.  My boyfriend had been wanting me to check out Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.,so we decided to go. They call this place “Malt Disney World”, it is beautiful, the food is amazing and local. You can taste the freshness of all their ingredients, they even have their own garden out back. I literally broke my diet for this trip, because you have to indulge when the food is so tasty. We shared Bangers & Mash and Pretzels w/ beer cheese.  I don’t drink beer, but that did not matter when it came to this place.  SO YUMMY!  We went to The Omni Grove Park Inn for a sunset dinner at the Sunset Terrace!  We didn’t have reservations, so we ended up sitting in the back of the patio, but the view was still beautiful.  We shared the Crab Cakes, Chophouse Wedge and IPA Mac & Cheese, oh and they give you biscuits with butter and local honey, AH!

The next morning we got up early to grab breakfast at City Bakery to take with us to the Biltmore Estate.  Since we are annual pass holders, its our thing to eat breakfast in the gardens at Biltmore (so peaceful).  After eating we explored the grounds a little bit, just to enjoy the out doors and get some exercise in.  After burning calories it was time to taste some chocolate from French Broad , one of our favorite dessert places!   Later on that day we met up with a few ex co-workers and friends for lunch at Homegrown, that was our first time there.  You could tell it was a popular place, we had to park across the street and the line inside was insane!  We did a little shopping while in town as well, bought a few local pieces before heading back home.   It was a nice little get-away.  Check out the pictures below of our little adventure to Asheville!  And if you need any suggestions on where to stay or other places to eat, shoot me an email!  I’ll post more pictures once I upload them!
